FAQ

WHERE ARE YOU FROM/WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
Originally from Seattle, WA, I have moved around a lot since the age of nineteen. I attended university in London, England and also spent three years in Southern California while working at the Disneyland Resort. Currently, I live in Brooklyn, NY.

WHAT CAMERAS DO YOU USE FOR YOUR PHOTOS AND VIDEOS?
I record my stationary videos on a Canon T3i, I record vlogs on a Canon Powershot SX260 HS and my photos are taken on an Olympus Pen E-PL8 or my iPhone XS Max.

WHERE DO YOU WORK?
I work part-time at a children's publisher as a publicity assistant.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO PUBLISHING?
It was a difficult process! Through my YouTube career, I have been working with publishers for years and a receiver of publishing publicity. I attended publishing events where I networking, I have loads of friends who already work in the industry and I also interned at a small non-fiction publisher while in uni in London. Despite all of those connections, it took me seven months and over a hundred publishing applications to land a part-time job in the industry. Not entirely sure what advice to give other than keep in contact with people you meet, send lots of follow-up emails and hope for the best!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CITY?
London, England. No competition!
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
New Zealand is my ultimate destination. I'd also love to see Copenhagen, roadtrip through Ireland, and visit every Disney Park in the world. My next destination is travelling to London with my girlfriend for her first visit.

WHY DON'T YOU POST VIDEOS ANYMORE?
Hey now, I post videos...sometimes! Alright, fair enough. YouTube is an entirely different world from when I started and I'm not entirely certain I like what it has become. Don't get me wrong, I probably spend more time watching YouTube content than most people and I love finding little pockets of lesser-known channels doing incredible things. However, the community I found on YouTube no longer exists and without it, I find it does not fulfil me like it did in years past. Sometimes it's fun to post a video here or there, but it usually just feels like work that I'm not being required to do and not being paid to do.
